Stand by for foam-padded action. It's another high-octane, low pain threshold edition of crazed knockabout game show Total Wipeout. Richard Hammond, as your host, will be arching an eyebrow at the ludicrous antics of 20 more over-excited contestants, who have thrown caution to the wind - and will have to be cautious if they don't want to be winded - on Argentina's famous Total Wipeout course. From the side of the course, co-host Amanda Byram will be stifling laughs as contestants bravely tackle the Sucker Punch with added paint power, the brilliantly bouncy Big Red Balls and the disaster waiting to happen that is Double Cross. Four rounds of torment and terror, mud and mayhem are worth it for one lucky contestant though, as he or she will be crowned the Total Wipeout champion and pocket a cheque for £10,000.

From giant hammers that smack them in the face to the Shapeshifter, via the Big Red Balls, each contestant braves the Qualifier to attempt qualification for Double Cross. From there, the field is halved and those 'lucky' enough to make it through to Terror-Go-Round face it head-on in an effort to get to the Wipeout Zone. Darkness, raging torrents and fire bursts lie between the finalists and the chance of winning ten thousand pounds. Who will get their hands on the coveted Total Wipeout trophy?

However, most would agree that Total Wipeout - The Awards provides the biggest laughs. This programme encompasses all of the best action of the series.
