Highest-Grossing Indian Films of 2025 — All Now Streaming

A December release that took the year on six weeks of running time, and then took 2026 as well through [Dhurandhar: The Revenge](/title/movie/1582770-dhurandhar-the-revenge), which grossed a reported 1,852 crore in March 2026 and now sits above this film on the all-time list. Aditya Dhar's original is colder and more procedural than the revenge picture that followed it — it spends most of its length assembling an operation rather than executing one — and it is the better film of the pair for exactly that reason. A Kannada prequel finishing second across all Indian languages, which is the single most improbable line in this table. Rishab Shetty went back several centuries from the 2022 original to build the mythology it only gestured at, spent a great deal more money doing it, and got the biggest Kannada release ever outside the KGF films. The year's biggest Hindi film until December, and one of the very few historical epics of the last decade to work at this scale without a franchise behind it. The spy-universe sequel, released on the same August weekend as Coolie and comprehensively second in that fight. Three hundred crore is a good year for most Hindi films and a disappointing one for this particular production, which is the clearest illustration in the table of how much the ceiling moved between 2023 and 2025. An Indian animated mythological feature that grossed three hundred crore, released simultaneously in Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. Nothing in Indian animation had come close to this commercially, and it was made for a fraction of what any live-action film in this top ten cost. The biggest Malayalam film ever made, and the first chapter of an intended superhero universe — a genre Malayalam cinema had shown almost no interest in until this landed. Kalyani Priyadarshan in the title role. Three hundred crore from an industry whose blockbusters historically topped out around a fifth of that. JioHotstar.

The fifth entry in a comedy franchise that has now been running for fifteen years, doing roughly what it always does. Its presence here is the least surprising thing in the table and the most reliable: whatever else changes about the Indian box office, this series clears its number. Prime Video.

Pawan Kalyan in a gangster picture, released in September and the last of 2025's four Telugu-adjacent entries to land. Just under the three-hundred mark on the low estimate and just over it on the high one, which is the kind of margin that decides how a film gets written about for years afterwards. Netflix.
