Every Tom Holland and Zendaya Film Together — and the 2026 That Made Them Hollywood's Biggest Couple

They met on a Spider-Man audition in 2016, married quietly a decade later, and spent the summer of 2026 in the two biggest films in the world — together in both. All five projects they have shared, plus what each is carrying alone this year.

The 2026 summer box office is, in an almost literal sense, a Tom Holland and Zendaya production. Spider-Man: Brand New Day opened on 31 July to $360 million domestically — the biggest opening weekend ever recorded, ahead of Avengers: Endgame — and crossed $1 billion worldwide in six days. Two weeks earlier, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey had opened to the biggest global debut of Nolan's career, with Holland as Telemachus and Zendaya as the goddess Athena. In December, Zendaya returns as Chani in Dune: Part Three. Between them they are attached to three of the four biggest films of the year.

The relationship itself has been the least publicised thing about them. They were cast opposite each other in 2016 for Spider-Man: Homecoming, spent five years denying anything, were photographed together in 2021, and Zendaya appeared at the Golden Globes in January 2025 wearing an engagement ring. In 2026 the wedding was disclosed by other people — first her longtime stylist Law Roach, then Holland himself, discussing it in the past tense in an Esquire cover story. There has been no announcement, no photographs and no interview about it, which after nine years is a policy rather than an accident.

This list is everything they have made together, in release order, followed by the significant work each has done separately. The count is five — four Spider-Man films and, in July 2026, their first project outside the franchise, which came from the least likely direction available: a Christopher Nolan adaptation of Homer in which they share a title but, per the roles as described, not a great deal of screen time.

Where it started, on both counts. Zendaya was cast as the sardonic classmate 'Michelle' in a part that was barely a part until the last scene revealed her initials; Holland was a twenty-year-old gymnast-turned-actor who had already stolen Captain America: Civil War. They have both described the audition process as the first time they met, in 2016. As a film it is still the lightest and most enjoyable of the four — a high-school comedy that happens to have Michael Keaton in a winged suit.

  2. 2/10Spider-Man: Far From Home

    Spider-Man: Far From Home

    Film · 2019 · English · Jun 28, 2019

    NetflixPrime VideoJioHotstarSonyLIV

The one where MJ becomes a lead rather than a running joke, and the one that made the pairing the reason a lot of people were buying tickets. It is also the film they were promoting when the denials were at their most strenuous. Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio carries the plot; the bridge scene where Peter admits who he is carries the franchise.

  3. 3/10Spider-Man: No Way Home

    Spider-Man: No Way Home

    Film · 2021 · English · Dec 15, 2021

    JioHotstarSonyLIV
    Worldwide gross$1,921,426,073

The commercial peak of the pre-2026 era — $1.92 billion worldwide, still the eighth-biggest film ever made — and the one where the relationship stopped being deniable, since they were photographed together during its release. The ending, in which MJ is left with no memory of him, is the single best piece of acting either of them has done in the franchise, and it works precisely because by then the audience knew. Streaming in India on JioHotstar and SonyLIV.

  4. 4/10The Odyssey

    The Odyssey

    Film · 2026 · English · Jul 15, 2026

    Global opening$263.8M
    Worldwide gross$1,122,074,345

Their first film together outside Spider-Man, and the one nobody saw coming. Christopher Nolan's adaptation of Homer casts Holland as Telemachus, the son searching for a father twenty years gone, and Zendaya as Athena, the goddess who appears to Odysseus at the turning points and pushes him home. It opened on 17 July to $264 million worldwide — the biggest global debut of Nolan's career — and has since passed $1.12 billion, making it his highest-grossing film ever, ahead of both Batman sequels. It is also the first feature shot entirely on IMAX 70mm film. For a couple who have spent a decade refusing to discuss each other, choosing a Nolan production as the place to break out of the franchise is about as private a way to do it as exists.

  5. 5/10Spider-Man: Brand New Day

    Spider-Man: Brand New Day

    Film · 2026 · English · Jul 29, 2026

    Opening weekend (US)$360,091,572
    Worldwide gross$1,708,805,242

The biggest film of 2026 and the biggest opening weekend in the history of the medium: $360.1 million domestically across three days, beating a record Avengers: Endgame had held since 2019, then $1 billion worldwide inside six days and $42 million on a single Tuesday in August, which is also a record. It arrived two weeks after The Odyssey, meaning the couple had the year's two biggest films in cinemas simultaneously. It is also the first Spider-Man film they have appeared in as a married couple, though neither of them will say so. Still in cinemas — no India streaming date has been announced.

  6. 6/10Dune: Part Three

    Dune: Part Three

    Film · 2026 · English · Dec 16, 2026

Zendaya alone, in December. She returns as Chani for Denis Villeneuve's conclusion to the trilogy, opposite Timothée Chalamet and with Robert Pattinson joining for the finale. It is scheduled for 18 December 2026 — the same day as Avengers: Doomsday, a collision the internet has already named 'Dunesday' and which neither studio has yet blinked on. Chani's arc is the one the second film left most obviously unresolved, so this is the closest thing Zendaya has to a lead-carrying franchise of her own.

  7. 7/10Challengers

    Challengers

    Film · 2024 · English · Apr 18, 2024

The film that settled the argument about whether Zendaya could carry an adult drama. Luca Guadagnino's tennis triangle gave her a producing credit and the most complicated character she has played — Tashi Duncan is not likeable and is not written to be — and it remains the strongest single performance in either of their filmographies. 8. 8/10Euphoria

    Euphoria

    Series · 2019 · English · Jun 16, 2019

    JioHotstar8.3

The other half of Zendaya's career, and the reason she has two Emmys — she won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2020 for the first season, becoming the youngest winner in the category's history, and again in 2022. Sam Levinson's series finally returned for a third season on 12 April 2026, four years after the second, and HBO confirmed the show had ended for good when the eighth episode aired on 31 May. So 2026 gave Zendaya both the close of the role that made her and the biggest box office year of her life, three months apart.

  9. 9/10Uncharted

    Uncharted

    Film · 2022 · English · Feb 10, 2022

    NetflixPrime VideoJioHotstarSonyLIV

Holland's attempt at a second franchise, adapted from the PlayStation series, with Mark Wahlberg as Sully. It made roughly $407 million worldwide, which was enough for Sony to talk about a sequel and not enough for anyone to be in a hurry. Included here because it marks the point at which Holland was clearly trying to build something outside Marvel — a project that The Odyssey has now comprehensively achieved instead.

  10. 10/10The Devil All the Time

    The Devil All the Time

    Film · 2020 · English · Sep 11, 2020

    Netflix

The Netflix film Holland made in the gap between Spider-Man pictures, opposite Robert Pattinson, Bill Skarsgård and Sebastian Stan — a grim southern-gothic thriller in which nobody is redeemed. It is the least Spider-Man thing on his CV, and the clearest early evidence that the casting directors who put him in The Odyssey were not taking a wild swing.

Frequently asked

How many films have Tom Holland and Zendaya made together?
Five. Four are Spider-Man films — Homecoming (2017), Far From Home (2019), No Way Home (2021) and Brand New Day (2026) — and the fifth is Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey in July 2026, where Holland plays Telemachus and Zendaya plays Athena. It is their only shared credit outside the franchise. Zendaya returns to Dune: Part Three in December without him.
Are Tom Holland and Zendaya married?
Yes, though neither has formally announced it. Zendaya wore an engagement ring at the Golden Globes in January 2025; in March 2026 her longtime stylist Law Roach said the couple had quietly married, and Holland subsequently spoke about the wedding day in an Esquire cover story, saying their families were all there. There has been no announcement, ceremony date or photographs released by either of them.
How big was Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
It set the record for the biggest domestic opening weekend of all time at $360.1 million, ahead of Avengers: Endgame's $357.1 million from 2019, crossed $1 billion worldwide in six days, and has taken more than $1.7 billion globally — the highest-grossing film of 2026 and the tenth-highest-grossing film ever released.
Where can I watch the Spider-Man films in India?
No Way Home streams on JioHotstar and SonyLIV in India. The earlier two move between services; Brand New Day is still in cinemas and has no announced streaming date. Each card below carries the India platform we currently hold for that title.
