Netflix publishes its engagement report twice a year: every title watched for more than 50,000 hours in the period, with total hours viewed and a views figure. The report for January to June 2026, released on 16 July, lists more than 17,000 of them. Netflix said Indian titles drew 688 million views across the half, India's highest for a six-month period, and that Indian films were the largest source of non-English film viewing on the service.
This list ranks the Indian titles in that report by views. It is a global number: it counts viewing in every country Netflix operates in, not just India. Most of the top 15 are films, and several of them are theatrical releases from late 2025 that reached Netflix in the first months of 2026. The highest-ranked series is Neeraj Pandey's Taskaree.
Views are hours viewed divided by runtime, which is why a three-and-a-half-hour film can top the views table while a short one with the same hours ranks lower. Both numbers are shown for each title.

Figures are Netflix's own, from the What We Watched engagement report for 1 January to 30 June 2026, published on 16 July 2026. Netflix defines views as hours viewed divided by the title's runtime, rounded to the nearest 100,000; both are global figures, not India-only. Films and series are ranked together, and each series season is a separate entry, as in the report. Indian titles were identified from the original-language titles Netflix lists alongside the English ones, plus three Indian titles the report lists only in English: Made in Korea, Kohrra: Season 2 and India's Got Latent: Season 2. An Indian title listed only in English with a lower views figure could have been missed. Titles released before January count only their January to June viewing.
