About Where Our Flowers Grow
“Honouring the past. Reclaiming the future.”
Where Our Flowers Grow is a 2026 French animation film directed by Maxime Kornachuk. It runs 11 minutes.
For generations, many Métis people were pressured to hide their identity and culture. Through intimate testimonies and innovative stop–motion beadwork animation, Where Our Flowers Grow follows those reclaiming connections to reveal how a culture marked by silence and erasure continues to define itself from one generation to the next.
