About The Beauty Parlor

The Beauty Parlor is a 1986 Russian romance film directed by Aleksandr Pankratov-Chyornyy. It runs 89 minutes. The cast is led by Tatyana Ivanova, Georgi Burkov and Tatyana Vasileva. It holds an IMDb rating of 10.0.

Divorced Maria and married Ofelia work as ladies' masters in a Moscow hairdressing salon. Ofelia often complains to her friend about her philandering husband. Maria has no one to complain about - she lives alone and is not bored. To reconcile Ophelia and her husband, Maria often visits Ivan at the zoo, where he works as a zookeeper, and gradually becomes attached to him. The sedate and positive Maria has much more in common with Ivan than the capricious and flighty Ophelia.
